This is great stuff.

I'm curious about the logistics of how you use such a modified module at the table. I haven't come up with a completely satisfactory solution myself, but it seems like you do this a lot so maybe you've figured something out?

The options I've thought of:

* Mark up the original module. This is a huge pain to do this either digitally (editing PDFs is a special kind of hell) or analog (my handwriting isn't very readable, and now I have to redo it all if I need another copy). Also, the changes might not fit on the page by simply crossing out or adding text. If the changes are small this is probably easiest though.

* Maintain a separate set of notes. This is a pain because now you can't just reference one document, you have to read the original and then check an extra notes document to see if anything is changed. Perhaps it works a bit better if you interleave it into the module, or add asterisks / strike through stuff to make it obvious that you need to check the notes. Still wouldn't work very well if you're liberally re-writing room descriptions.

* Make an entirely new document with the changes integrated. This would only seem to be feasible if you convert it into a simpler form first (e.g. by using marker to make it into a markdown document). Then you can run directly from the modified digital version or print it out if desired. The issue here is that you then lose any more involved formatting / artwork from the module. For some modules this is fine as the formatting is simple or doesn't add much (e.g. Arden Vul). But for some it does really add to usability IMO, like some of the Necrotic Gnome modules with an integrated minimap. It also probably prints to many more pages due to being single column. Probably the best solution overall though?

Your work in breaking down these adventurers and suggesting improvements is invaluable. I used your changes for Brandonsford and it make a great module into a best-of-all time one.

I would hope all adventure designers hire you for editing. Please keep doing this excellent work.
